Included are the demographics of users of mental health and addiction services, client referral pathways, the types of services provided, the outcome of the services and legal status and diagnosis information. WebResearch trends suggest that young Māori are the most at risk of developing anxiety, mood, and substance use disorders (Marie, Fergusson & Boden, 2008). They are also more likely to experience and engage in suicidal behaviour and ideation in comparison to non-Māori (Marie et al, 2008).
