It's basically the size to two R-680s side by side. The base of the cage is just under 8 square feet and the walls of the base are 3.5" tall. The cage houses 2-4 rats (currently 2). Cleaning schedule varies depending on how many rats. I use fleece/Uhaul padding mats on the shelves of the cage.
