Cannot maximize excel window

WebApr 23, 2013 · When its in the restore window, if she clicks the excel program in the task bar, nothing happens. So basically, every program minimizes and restores when you click it in the task bar except for excel. When maximized, Excel restores down instead of minimizing. When its in restore down window, clicking excel in the taskbar does nothing. Webtwo minimized windows won't maximize. When you hover over them there is a smaller window but I can't get the full program to open. I have shut down and restarted my computer. I have tried to open the through task manager. and about 10 other suggestions from other post. The programs are Steam and Skype if that makes a difference.

It seems that once you unmaximize (restore) it, it still thinks that it's still maximized, as the "maximize" option is still greyed out when right-clicking on the title bar while the "restore" option is still visible, which of course does nothing since it's already not maximized.
